Week 11 Reading

Reading "Measure What Matters" this week brought attention to how virtual events are being shaped by social media. Bringing audiences with similar interests through virtual conferences on platforms like Twitter. These virutal gathering create conversation and spark engagement for various industries.

The author also discussed how to develop a measurement plan. Step by step, Paine listed and defined how to achieve success in each step. The seven steps are a walk-through of how to achieve a company goal. It gives professionals a checklist that will better align what needs to be done and the actions needed to be taken. Here are the seven steps:
  1. Define Your Goals and Objectives.
  2. Define Your Environment, Audience and Influence.
  3. Define Your Investment. 
  4. Determine Your Benchmarks. 
  5. Define Your Key Performance Indicators.
  6. Select the Right Measurement Tool.
